Inspiration: Grad Cap Decor!

"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure"

I officially graduate this Friday/Saturday! (I have two graduations). As a means of procrastinating for finals, I've decorated my graduation cap in--surprise, surprise--Ravenclaw colors! I couldn't quite find bronze letters, so I ended up with cold--but it gets the point across. And YES--I seriously am putting Ollivander Mo on my grad cap. I've had that username for years now on YouTube, and as my website and business begin to flourish its becoming more and more a permanent part of me.

Guys. I LOVE being a Ravenclaw. Did you know that Ollivander, the wand maker, was also a Ravenclaw? Being a Ravenclaw is all about wit, creativity, imagination and learning. That's basically everything I stand for here at Ollivander Mo!

Need inspiration for your cap?? Then here we go!

Kids crafts + Scrapbooking Supplies
Legitimately the easiest way to decorate your cap!

Craft Glue or Glue GunsDon't trust the sticky backs of some of these things--it WILL fall off!

Sewing Materials
The hat IS covered in fabric after all. You can totally sew things into it.

#bowsformo forever! Put this lovely bow at the back of my cap.

Back of the capGet it monogrammed, or attach something cute to the back of your base! For mine, I'll be putting a bow because we all know I love my bows! (Just check the hashtag #bowsformo on IG!)

Under the front
Put on the hat and look up. Being that most girls wear their cap back a little, that bottom space is a golden spot to put messages like "Thanks Mom & Dad" or "I did it!"

Danglies!
I personally didn't want to have things dangling from my cap, but I've seen people put a fringe all around their cap!

Make it 3D! I've also seen a lot of nurses and teachers make 3D decorations similar to that of a pop-up book! Some put apples on their cap or nurse hats. I've seen someone straight up glue a flamingo plushie to the top of their cap. Get creative!

I knew I wanted to pay tribute to my love for Harry Potter when I graduated. I've pretty much had this planned out for years. If it weren't Harry Potter though it probably would've been Disney or Doctor Who! Just pick something that means a lot to you. Something that captures your essence! This is the best part about graduation really--decorating your cap! I mean, come on! Just have fun with it! And congratulations graduate!

What would you put on your cap? Let me know in the comments below!
